canfitpro GLOBAL 2026 wrapped up in Toronto following two days of education, workouts, networking and industry activity on August 14–15 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. The event marked canfitpro’s 33rd year and brought together fitness professionals, club operators, wellness leaders, presenters and suppliers from across Canada and internationally.

The conference program covered a wide range of topics, including strength and conditioning, Pilates, healthy aging, women’s health, recovery, nutrition, coaching and business development. The accompanying trade show added product demonstrations, workouts, education and interactive experiences across training, recovery, nutrition and wellness.

Broadening the Fitness Conversation

Programming reflected several themes continuing to influence the industry, including Pilates, longevity, strength training, recovery, healthy aging and increasingly individualized approaches to health and performance.

Sessions ranged from fall prevention and senior fitness to VO₂ max training, Pilates programming, anaerobic conditioning and performance. The trade show also incorporated dedicated experiential areas for Pilates, HYROX-style training, recovery, nutrition and evidence-based health discussions.

Specialized pre-conference education also took place ahead of the main event, with certifications and intensives covering areas including Chair One Fitness, Zumba, movement screening, Pilates and TRX programming.

Greater Focus on Fitness Business

A notable component of this year’s event was the Business, Innovation & Leadership Summit, designed for fitness business owners, operators and industry leaders.

The two-day program focused on leadership, technology, growth and changes taking place across fitness, wellness and longevity, while also providing access to the broader conference and trade show.

The dedicated business track reflects the increasingly broad role of industry conferences, which now address not only programming and coaching education but also operational strategy, technology adoption and changing consumer expectations.

Bodybuilding Takes the Trade Show Floor

Saturday’s trade show also featured a natural bodybuilding competition as part of the Power & Performance Platform, adding a competitive physique component to the event.

canfitpro described the area as a destination for strength and physique programming, with an all-day natural bodybuilding competition taking place alongside other performance-focused activities.

The competition brought another dimension to the trade show experience and highlighted bodybuilding and physique sport alongside the broader mix of education, equipment, wellness and performance programming.

Trade Show Remains a Central Draw

The GLOBAL Trade Show continued to provide a mix of equipment demonstrations, product discovery, live workouts, competitions and educational sessions. canfitpro positioned the floor around several dedicated experience areas, including the Main Stage, Power & Performance Platform, Zen Zone, Think Tank, Pilates Pavilion and a HYROX experience presented by GoodLife Fitness and powered by CENTR.

Les Mills programming also remained part of the event experience, with classes including BODYPUMP, BODYSTEP, BODYCOMBAT, LES MILLS PILATES and other formats offered across the two days.

With the 2026 event now complete, canfitpro has not yet publicly released final attendance figures or a detailed post-event report. The program and trade show mix, however, reflected an industry increasingly bringing traditional fitness, boutique programming, competition, recovery, technology, wellness and business education together under one roof.
