Recent openings in Thailand and Mexico mark another milestone for the Xponential Fitness brand as reformer Pilates continues to scale globally.

Club Pilates has surpassed 1,500 studios worldwide, extending the international reach of one of the fitness industry’s largest Pilates franchise networks.
The milestone follows recent openings in Bangkok and Mexico City and reflects continued expansion through a combination of traditional franchising and international master franchise agreements. Club Pilates is part of the Xponential Fitness portfolio and has developed a footprint spanning multiple continents. Its franchise site currently cites more than 1,300 open studios globally and more than 1,800 licensed locations, indicating a substantial pipeline of additional development.
The company attributes part of its growth to a model built around reformer-based programming for a range of experience levels, from beginners through more advanced participants. Its current class mix includes Reformer Flow, Cardio Sculpt, Center + Balance, Control, Restore, Suspend and newer programming such as Circuit, which combines reformer Pilates with strength and low-impact cardiovascular work.
Instructor development has also been a central component of the model. According to the company, its teacher training program requires 450 hours of education, observation, practice and online learning.
Canadian Presence
Club Pilates is also an established and growing brand in Canada. An independent location estimate counted 46 Canadian Club Pilates studios as of mid-2026, including approximately 20 in Ontario and 14 in British Columbia.
That represents significant expansion from 2019, when Club Pilates reported just six Canadian studios open and outlined plans for a much larger national footprint. At the time, the company said it intended to develop as many as 100 locations in Canada over the following years.
Unlike many of Club Pilates’ international markets, Canada has historically been treated more like an extension of the company’s North American franchise operation rather than being developed solely through a master franchise structure.
Pilates Competition Continues to Intensify
The 1,500-studio milestone comes as reformer Pilates attracts increasing attention from both boutique operators and larger fitness brands.
Dedicated Pilates franchises continue to expand, while traditional gyms are increasingly introducing reformer-based programming and specialized Pilates spaces of their own. Club Pilates’ scale gives it an established position in that increasingly competitive category, but the growth of alternative concepts also means consumers have considerably more choice than they did when the company began expanding internationally.
For Canadian operators, the growth is another indication that Pilates is moving beyond a niche studio offering and becoming a more significant segment of the broader fitness market.
Club Pilates says it intends to continue expanding internationally, with further franchise development expected across existing and new markets.
