Core Health & Fitness has acquired the assets of Aktiv Solutions, the California-based company known for its modular training environments and functional fitness platforms. The acquisition follows Aktiv’s closure, which occurred after a foreclosure action by its private equity backer, Gaston Capital Partners.
As first reported by Athletech News, Core Health is bringing on Aktiv founder Bryan Green as a strategic advisor to help support the transition and integrate Aktiv’s product lines into its offerings. This includes the recently launched BASE platform, a compact and lightweight tool designed for step-ups, hip thrusts, and other functional movements.
Aktiv had built a strong reputation over nearly 15 years for facility design and immersive training environments, particularly in boutique and commercial fitness settings. The deal allows Core Health to expand its reach into functional training solutions at a time when demand for hybrid, versatile training spaces continues to grow.
