HYROX, the World Series of Fitness Racing, has announced a global call for cities to bid on hosting the HYROX World Championships for the 2025/26 or 2026/27 seasons. This marks the first time the organization is formally inviting international destinations to compete for the chance to host its most high-profile event.

With participation numbers expected to reach 1 million athletes worldwide by 2025/26, HYROX continues to grow as one of the world’s fastest-expanding competitive fitness events, uniting both elite athletes and everyday participants through a standardized global race format.

A World-Class Sporting Event with Global Reach

The HYROX World Championships represent the culminating event of each season, drawing over 6,000 athletes from 80+ countries and more than 10,000 spectators for a multi-day experience. Following successful editions in Nice, France and upcoming Chicago, USA, the event has become known for its high production value, strong international media presence, and livestreamed Elite 15 races watched by audiences worldwide.

The host city benefits from increased international visibility, economic impact through travel and tourism, and association with one of the most dynamic trends in global sport and wellness.

Bid Criteria & Opportunity

HYROX is seeking two separate host cities—one for 2026 and one for 2027. Candidate cities must demonstrate the ability to:

• Provide financial and commercial support for event delivery
• Offer suitable venues with strong operational capacity
• Promote the city as a vibrant destination for sport, wellness, and global events
• Engage with HYROX in building a collaborative, multi-day experience for athletes and spectators

Each championship event features:

• Opening ceremony and pre-race build-up
• Four days of racing, including amateur and elite divisions
• Sponsor activations from leading global brands
• Livestream coverage and international press
• Closing celebrations and local engagement opportunities

Submission Details

• Deadline for bid submissions: May 1, 2025
• Interested destinations must request an invitation to quote directly from HYROX
• Proposals must include a full financial offer, venue specifications, operational support, and branding commitments
