By FIC BC Coalition
As fitness business owners, we understand and empathize with the incredibly challenging situation facing the fitness industry at the moment.
Fitness Industry Council of Canada’s (FIC) British Columbia Coalition advocates for fitness businesses. We are meeting continuously with provincial government leaders (Minister of Jobs and Economic Development), public health (Dr. Bonnie Henry), and local health authorities to try to understand the latest developments, improve access to grant opportunities, subsidies and most importantly to advocate for all of fitness to reopen on or before January 18th.
We are also in daily contact with fitness business owners, gathering data and personal stories on the impact of this lockdown and then communicating this to the government.
As this lockdown continues, we would like to invite you to attend bi-weekly briefing meetings on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 10:30am PST. These meetings will be open to every fitness business owner across the province. We will run these meetings with a short agenda on the latest updates, and then take questions.
ALL FITNESS BUSINESS OWNERS ARE WELCOME TO JOIN, so please share our post so that others are included in these valuable updates.
We know times are difficult. We are here to listen, and to help. Since the pandemic began, the Fitness Industry Council of Canada has become an important voice across Canada, especially here in British Columbia, and we have found strength in solidarity.
Please join us starting on Tuesday, January 11th at 10:30am PST where we will provide an update on the latest developments and actions taken on behalf of your fitness industry association – the FIC. For more information about our association, check out our website www.ficdn.ca.
