Core Health & Fitness has announced a leadership transition, with Bryan K. O’Rourke stepping down as Chief Executive Officer after two years in the role.
O’Rourke, who led the company through a period of double-digit revenue and EBITDA growth and the launch of new product lines such as the APEX console, described his tenure as “one of the most rewarding chapters of my career.” He added, “Together with a world-class team of over 1,700 professionals, we achieved record performance and launched groundbreaking products that advance the fitness industry.”
O’Rourke will continue his work in other leadership capacities, including CEO of Vedere Ventures, President of the Fitness Industry Technology Council (FIT-C), and advisor to several ventures in fitness, technology, and franchising.
Effective immediately, Michael Bruno has been appointed CEO of Core Health & Fitness. The company also announced a series of executive promotions: Paul Spann to Chief Operating Officer, Joey Osborne to Vice President of Global Sales—with Marketing and Education now reporting into his division—and Geeta Boulenc to Managing Director for EMEA.
Bruno noted that Core’s priorities remain focused on customer outcomes, saying: “Our goal as always is to be the easiest and most efficient company to work with in the industry. I’m honored and excited to serve the team and our customers in the next chapter.”
Spann emphasized operational excellence and customer support, Osborne highlighted the integration of sales, marketing, and education to better serve operators, and Boulenc pointed to growth opportunities across the EMEA region.
Core Health & Fitness is home to StairMaster, Star Trac, Schwinn, Nautilus, Throwdown, Wexer, and Gym Rax, serving operators globally across cardio, strength, group training, and digital content.
