August 26 online session will explore churn, member engagement and how fitness and wellness operators are using AI to support day-to-day operations.
Sponsored by NexScale
NexScale will host an online webinar on Wednesday, August 26 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. focused on member retention, operational efficiency and the growing use of artificial intelligence within fitness and wellness businesses.
Titled “How to Retain More Members and Grow Profitably — with AI-Powered Retention Intelligence,” the 60-minute session is aimed at owners and operators of gyms, studios, wellness centres, multi-location businesses and independent practices.
The discussion will examine some of the factors that contribute to member churn, including early signs of disengagement that operators may overlook, and how businesses can move from reacting to cancellations toward more proactive retention strategies.
Topics are expected to include member communications, engagement, daily operations and ways AI tools can be used to identify at-risk members and automate routine tasks without eliminating the personal interactions that remain important to fitness communities.
Montreal Operator to Share Practical Experience
The webinar will also include a 15-minute fireside conversation with Heidi Rubin, Founder and CEO of Infinity Movement Studio in Montreal.
Rubin, a strength and conditioning coach and personal trainer with more than 25 years of industry experience, will discuss her experience using NexScale’s AI platform, including how it has affected member communications, retention efforts and her day-to-day role as an operator.
She will be joined by Soodeh Farokhi, PhD, Founder and CEO of NexScale, a technology entrepreneur whose background includes building and scaling companies.
AI and the Retention Challenge
NexScale’s platform includes Chloe, an AI-based business tool designed to work with an operator’s existing systems. According to the company, the technology can assist with member communications, identify members showing signs of disengagement and automate certain operational tasks.
While AI applications across the fitness industry continue to expand, retention is emerging as one area of particular interest. For operators, the potential value lies less in replacing human interaction and more in using technology to identify patterns and trigger timely outreach before a member disengages completely.
The webinar is expected to use practical examples to examine where AI may add value and where operator involvement remains essential.
The session takes place August 26 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. EST online. Registration is subject to host approval.
