Peloton has announced a voluntary recall of its Original Series Bike+ (model PL02) due to a faulty seat post that may break during use, posing a fall risk. The recall affects bikes sold in both the U.S. and Canada, including roughly 44,800 units in the Canadian market.

The impacted bikes were manufactured between December 2019 and July 2022 and sold through April 2025. While no seat-post failures have been reported in Canada, Peloton advises owners to stop using affected units and request a free replacement seat post, which users can install themselves.

Units included in the recall have serial numbers beginning with “T”, located on or near the bike’s front fork or behind the flywheel.

Peloton has stated that the recall covers only the seat post, and full bike replacements or refunds are not part of the program.
