Perspectives in Exercise Health and Fitness 2026 takes place this weekend, October 3–4, in Calgary, bringing together exercise, fitness and physical activity professionals for two days of education, discussion and professional development.
Organized by Fitness Alberta, the biennial conference is designed to connect current research and leading practice with the day-to-day work of personal trainers, group exercise leaders and other professionals working in health and fitness.
Saturday, October 3 will feature the Women’s Health Symposium: Fuel, Hormones, Brain and Bones, exploring areas of women’s health that increasingly intersect with exercise programming and client support. Sunday, October 4 shifts the focus to Leadership Fitness: A Three-Part Workout for Your Mind, with an emphasis on leadership, reflection and professional development.
The event is intended to emphasize practical learning, connection and reflection rather than a traditional lecture-only conference format. A follow-up webinar, “The Follow-Through: Making Leadership Fitness Stick,” is also scheduled for October 20.
Fitness professionals interested in attending can find full program and registration details through the Perspectives in Exercise Health and Fitness website.
