Planet Fitness has announced the return of its High School Summer Pass™ program, giving teens aged 14–19 free access to more than 2,700 clubs across Canada and the U.S. from June 1 to August 31. Now in its fifth year, the initiative supports teen physical and mental well-being by encouraging regular fitness habits during the summer break.
“With free access to our clubs throughout the summer, we’re providing teens with the tools they need to develop healthy fitness habits that can last a lifetime,” said Colleen Keating, CEO of Planet Fitness. “We look forward to welcoming teens this summer to experience the mental and physical health benefits of exercise in the Judgement Free Zone®.”
To date, Planet Fitness has invested over $300 million in waived membership dues since the program launched in 2019. A recent company-commissioned survey found that 90% of teens say exercise makes them feel happier, and 93% believe regular activity helps them manage life’s challenges.
Additional insights from the survey highlight rising concerns around teen mental health and screen time:
- 66% of parents are worried about their teen’s well-being and stress levels.
- 81% of teens admit that social media and video games take up too much of their day.
- 50% report a decline in fitness levels during summer when school is out.
The 2025 campaign features a partnership with Stephen Nedoroscik, U.S. gymnast and two-time Olympic medalist. “Giving teens free access to a place to move, feel confident, and chase their goals is powerful,” said Nedoroscik. “It’s a chance for young people to discover their strength, inside and out.”
Participants will receive access to strength and cardio equipment, free certified training, teen-focused workout plans, and the Planet Fitness app with on-demand content.
Teens can register now at PlanetFitness.com/SummerPass.
