World Gym Corporation has announced a three-year strategic partnership with HYROX, bringing the global fitness racing format to World Gym Taiwan’s network of 140 corporate-owned locations, with expansion into Thailand planned later this year.
The agreement represents HYROX’s largest partnership in the APAC region and gives the brand immediate access to one of Asia’s largest gym networks. World Gym Taiwan serves approximately 500,000 members and records more than 40 million annual visits, creating a significant platform for HYROX training, satellite challenges, and club-based competitive events.
HYROX, which combines running with functional workout stations, has seen rapid global growth, with more than 1.3 million participants competing in 140 events worldwide over the past year. Through the new partnership, World Gym Taiwan plans to integrate HYROX-style training into personal training services, club programming, and member engagement initiatives.
The collaboration also includes satellite competitions and mini events across Taiwan, supported by World Gym’s network of trainers, functional training spaces, and active personal training client base. HYROX will also become an approved vendor within World Gym’s international franchise network, creating the potential for broader rollout across additional markets.
For the fitness industry, the partnership highlights the growing role of event-based training and fitness racing as a member engagement strategy. Rather than existing only as standalone competitions, formats such as HYROX are increasingly being embedded into gym programming, personal training, and community-building initiatives.
As operators continue looking for ways to increase participation, retention, and training intensity, fitness racing offers a model that blends structured programming, measurable performance, social motivation, and aspirational events. The World Gym-HYROX partnership shows how large gym networks may use competitive fitness formats to create new energy across both training floors and member communities.
